Chris McCarthy

Chris McCarthy,
(Dancer and Creator of Embodiment) 

Born in San Francisco,  and raised in Miami, McCarthy started dancing and developed into a self-taught dancer of many styles (Ballet, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Contemporary, and even GaGa) through instructional videos on the Internet untill the age of 15. At just 16,  After beginning his formal training at Miami Dance Town (under the direction of Manny Castro) and signing as a dancer/entertainer for C&J Productions he started a professional career to be proud of.  Currently, McCarthy now lives in Paris, France working around the world as a Dancer , Soloist, Creater,  Guest Star and Teacher. 

Since then, some highlights in McCarthy’s career include; Company and Concert dance experience with Rasta Thomas’ Bad Boys of dance in the wildly-crazed world tour of  “Rock the Ballet”,  Tokyo The Company, Miami Contemporary Company and other renowned company’s world-wide. Principal cabaret dancer in the Las Vegas headline show Judy Garland & Liza Minnelli Together Again”. Staring Off/On Broadway, and international Musicals around the world such as  “Romeo And Juliette”, “Memphis”, “Amadeus ‘Mozart’ L’Opera Rock”, “Adam et Eve La Seconde Chance”, “Robin des Bois”.  McCarthy has Choreographed and/Shared the stage with/for the world’s top musical icons and superstars such as Prince, Celine Dion, Pascal Obispo(FR),  Rita Ora, Florence and the Machine, Paris Hilton, Willy Moon(UK), Matt Pokora(FR), Martha Walsh, Shy’m(FR), Jennifer(FR), Amel Bent(FR),  Adjäna(Morocco) and several other artist around the world. McCarthy has had the privilege to expand his career performing past the Commercial, Company, and Concert world to TV and Film. From So You Think You Can Dance (season 4) to  XFactor in 3 different countries even full length feature films like the french animated movie “pourquoi j ai pas mangé mon père”. 

McCarthy is grateful and has worked hard to creat a name for himself, being featured in the worlds largest names in journal and newspaper like The Harold: “…like watching imagination cone to life…”, the Sun Sentinel, La Parisian, and  even NEW YORK TIMES  “… an innate mesmerizing Cat like quality…”.   

McCarthy is high in demand as a Teacher / choreographer since creating his technique “Embodiment”.  This generations first imagination training class. Which to this day has been debuted and excepted in over 7 countries like USA, France, China, Japan, Germany, Korea, Russia, and Switzerland. 

McCarthy is proud of his achievements thus-far and he looks forward to a blessed and growing career.
